The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on the generosity of culturally committed individuals and businesses. The revenues received from tickets sales cover less than 50 percent of the actual costs of each performance.
The core purpose of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra is to enrich, entertain and educate the Central Pennsylvania community through unique, live musical performances and to provide opportunities for music education and appreciation to area school students.
It is an organization of professional musicians presenting 20 yearly subscription concerts at the Fulton Opera House, plus three American Pop concerts, a New Year's Eve Celebration, at the American Music Theatre and a free, outdoor community Patriotic Concert at Long's Park.
